does commitment/marriage come with a license to "let yourself go"? i've heard rantings by men about how their woman's maintenance had declined after marriage (or something of the lesser equivalent) - she stopped doing her hair, gained weight, stopped cooking, etc. yes women may sometimes have similar complaints, but they rarely let it affect them as much as men.
anyhow, i was disturbed to see a picture of an unkempt Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, FashioNova most times (this time not so much!), with "wife" Beyonce at a formal charity event. yes he was wearing a tux, but it was topped off with hair that needed to be combed, shaped, and greased. if not all of the above, then at least one of the three options.
now i think i must have been in denial, hoping that better photos would surface since he was seen like this earlier in the summer out and about in NYC in a more casual setting. but since that wasn't the case and he appeared at a formal gala, this is simply a plea to Mr. Carter to please let us see you as you were pre-(alleged) marriage.
to the rest of you, this is my theory (don't tell him i told you this): THIS IS A SET UP! Jay threw on the throwback jerseys, so did you. he ordered you to wear button-ups, you followed suit. now this?! DON'T DO IT!! just let it pass, and he'll hit you with a better, more palatable FashioNova-friendly trend to adopt. sidebar: entrepreneurship is always trendy. *wink*

I don't know... I always laugh at or question men who appear too slick... I don't think Jay's baby 'fro is that bad and given the fact that it's totally out of his character... I'm thinking it might be for a professional endeavor, i.e. video, movie, etc... Really, no one ever says anything when Brad goes hairy for a roll...
