the exclusivity that comes with ownership of the car is further defined by the SLR.Club, which provides the members access to its property in Le Castellet, France - this includes a fitness gym, a business center , a hospitality suite, and a veranda that overlooks the final turns of the track that holds their exclusive driving event (cost: $22k/race).
no membership dues are required to become a member of the SLR.Club. the modest sticker price of $500,000 MSRP will gain you all the perks of the club. unless, however, you buy one of the 21 SLR 722 GTs, the motorsports version of the car shown below, for $1.2 million. (you can upgrade your SLR to the racing version for a cool $1 mill.) if that doesn't work for you, the good news is if you really want "in", and you can earn a "grandfathered" membership to the club if you can purchase a pre-owned McLaren.
i'll just click my stilettos 3x's... see you in France!
